VOP CEO, Derek Evans, announces their commitment to a 1/8th non-operated working interest in a Dalhart Basin Canyon Granite Wash field extension play. DDD Inc., an established oil & gas exploration and operating firm headed by former Exxon/Mobil geophysicist/geologist Thomas Ratliff, is the prospect generator and operator of the project. The Rehm Field is located on a large faulted structure and was the first Canyon Granite Wash oil discovery in the Dalhart Basin. Standard Oil discovered the Rehm Field in 1954 with the Guilloud #1. By 1956, Standard Oil had “defined” the field with seven producing wells and 5 dry holes. In 1996, Mortimer offset the Walker 45 #4 (cum~65 MBO) 1800 feet to the northeast with the Walker Ranch #2 and drill stem tested (DST) the upper granite wash pay from 6097’- 6130’. The DST recovered 28 barrels of oil and 12 barrels of oil cut mud and no water. The DST also showed excellent granite wash pressures of 1587 psi. The Walker Ranch #2 was perforated from 6086’- 6116’ and IP’ed pumping 113 BOPD and 0 BWPD. The Walker Ranch #2 has produced over 90 MBO to date. In 1997, Mortimer offset the Walker 45 #4 only 876 feet to the northeast with the Walker Ranch #3 and encountered the T/Granite Wash Pay 13 feet down dip. The well was perforated from 6070’-6100’and IP’ed pumping 102 BOPD and 0 BWPD. 3 ½ years later in 10/2000, lower perforations were added (6119’-6123’) and these lower perfs IP’ed pumping 90 BOPD & 22 BWPD. The Walker Ranch #3 has produced over 90 MBO to date. DDD Inc. has recently successfully completed the Thompson Unit A well with an IP of 55 barrels of oil per day. The 53 square mile 3-D seismic survey which covers the Rehm Field was shot by Dawson Geophysical in 2010. DDD reprocessed the survey in 2014 which has led to the identification of several low risk drilling locations. DDD has recently successfully completed the Thompson Unit A well with an IP of 55 barrels of oil per day. “Participating as a non op interest with a high caliber trustworthy and proven oil and gas finder like Mr. Ratliff and DDD Exploration Inc., offers Veteran Oil Partners needed diversification into technologically driven oil prospects that boast relatively inexpensive development costs, low geological risk, and excellent economics @ 70.00 per barrel. We are excited to be a part of the project!” VOP CEO- Derek Evans. The Thompson Unit B well is anticipated to spud in November/December of 2018.
