Derek S. Evans, 32, is CEO and co-founder of Veteran Oil Partners and serves as Director of Veteran Exploration & Production. Mr. Evans began his oil and gas career with an energy focused private equity firm led by a nationally recognized natural resource investor. He held a Series 22 and Series 63 license with the firm. Here he participated in the formation and capital sourcing of multiple SPV’s targeting a wide array of energy and natural resource related acquisitions to include; oil and gas interests, alternative energy facilities, natural gas pipelines, and water rights. Mr. Evans has 10 years of energy industry experience and has organized, structured, and sourced funding for over 100MM in limited partnerships and joint ventures in which he had a direct hand in management. Mr. Evans is a United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran who served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II and was discharged after 4 years of honorable service. He credits his military experience conducting stabilization and counter insurgency operations in the Middle East as the catalyst of his professional ambitions in the oil industry. He is currently pursuing a degree in Petroleum Geology.
Dustin C. Schoonover, 34, has recently joined Veteran Oil Partners after accepting an offer made by the firm of equity partner/owner. Mr. Schoonover brings his extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry as well as his compassion and drive for generating and managing the highest quality oil and gas prospects available for his clients. Over his career Mr. Schoonover has participated in over 100 oil and gas wells, both conventional and non-conventional drilled throughout various regions to include West Texas Permian Basin, North Central Texas, and South Texas/Gulf Coast.
Joshua M. Bruton joined the Veteran Oil Partners executive management team in August 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bruton specializes in Banking and Financial services, Investment Management, Venture Capital, and financial and operational development of new and existing companies. Mr. Bruton's primary focus at Veteran Oil Partners is to administer the financial and risk management of the company, and to develop financial and operational strategy. Additionally, Mr. Bruton is responsible for monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans while developing financial and tax strategies for the company. Mr. Bruton graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Accounting. Throughout his career, Mr. Bruton has strived to continue his education through accredited continuing education programs and by obtaining professional certifications. Mr. Bruton has held various FINRA securities licenses, including Series 7 and Series 66. Mr. Bruton has also received various banking certifications and is a member of Texas Bankers Association, Independent Bankers Association of Texas (Leadership Division), and Independent Community Bankers Association. Mr. Bruton currently sits on the Board of Directors of a privately held Bank Holding Company and is completing the curriculum requirements, with a June 2016 anticipated graduation from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU.
Mr. Hall joined the Veteran Oil Partners team in 2016. As VP of Partners Relations Mr. Hall assists partners of Veteran Oil Partners with answers on any projects, old or current. He provides prompt and courteous service to all of the company’s investment partners and is the client's primary point of contact. In addition, Mr. Hall reaches out to potential new partners and introduces and educates them on Veteran Oil Partners and our offerings. Mr. Hall helps consolidate and send out introductory packages of VOP to new clients as well as send out necessary documents to existing clients. Previous to joining VOP Mr. Hall was the national director of marketing operations, leading a 700 plus employee outside sales team in 7 different major US Markets. His expertise in leadership and leadership training has prepared him to join the Veteran Team.

Mr. Martinez began his career in the oil and gas industry in 2011. He is a husband and father of 3 boys. His son Chris Jr. is recognized as a top 20 youth athlete in the nation.
